THE CHALLENGE

In December 2015, Matteo Perucchini faced the biggest challenge of his life. He rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Talisker Atlantic Challenge; the No.1 Ocean Endurance Race and one of the toughest endurance events on the planet. Alone, completely unassisted, 100% self-sufficient and in a boat powered by nothing more than his desire to succeed, Matteo completed the crossing in 52 days, winning the solo category and setting a new race record.

ROWING FOR A CAUSE

Matteo’s challenge was on one hand about undertaking a great personal challenge that pushed him to the limits of his physical endurance and psychological resilience. On the other hand, it was about raising awareness and generating support for two fantastic charities: Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Fondazione Italiana per la Lotta al Neuroblastoma. In order to make a charitable donation please follow the links below. Every penny donated will go directly to the charities.
